Chart Check: Sexyy Red’s ‘Fat Juicy & Wet’ (featuring Bruno Mars) Marks the HIGHEST Hot 100 Debut of Her Career Yet

As special guest on three of this week’s top 20 hits (‘Die with a Smile‘ with Lady Gaga, ‘APT.’ with Rose, and ‘Fat Juicy & Wet’ with Sexyy Red), superstar singer Bruno Mars is undoubtedly the Hot 100’s current reigning king.

The arrival of the latter smash doesn’t come as a major win for just him, however.

Red, who notched quite a few career milestones in 2024 thanks to hits like ‘Whatchu Kno About Me,’ ‘Sticky,’ and ‘Get It Sexyy,’ seems poised to repeat the feat this year thanks to her Bruno-assisted hit.

Coming as a personal milestone for Red (born Janae Wherry), the top 20 opening marks the highest of her career yet as a song leader.

Among all her hits, however, the #11 premiere of the Drake and SZA-led ‘Rich Baby Daddy‘ remains her best first-week placement.

Although it comes as the third top 20 smash of her career as a song leader (following ‘Get It Sexyy’ and ‘Whatchu Kno About Me’), ‘Wet’ is her fifth overall top 20 appearance on the all-genre chart – a count that includes the #11-peaking ‘Rich Baby Daddy’ and #10-peaking ‘Sticky‘ (led by Tyler the Creator, Lil Wayne, and GloRilla).
