Megyn Kelly Calls Beyonce “the Most OVERRATED ARTIST of All Time” After Diva’s Historic GRAMMY Wins

Published: Thursday 6th Feb 2025 by Rashad

It’s been days since Beyonce made history at the 67th annual GRAMMY Awards when she took home Country Album of the Year and Album of the Year honors (February 2), but the triumphs are still very much a polarized hot topic on social media.

While many are praising the diva for the barrier-breaking wins, some racists Country enthusiasts are slamming the victories in droves – the latter being a chorus controversial political commentator Megyn Kelly has joined her voice with.

Taking to the hit podcast named after her, Kelly weighed in on the highlights of the GRAMMYs with stinging disses against Alicia Keys‘ inspirational Global Impact Award speech, Kanye West and wife Bianca Censori‘s shocking red carpet antics, and more.

None got a tongue-lashing from the media personality quite like Beyonce, however.

During a recap of Sunday’s golden gramophone winners (February 2), Kelly took particularly aim at Beyonce by comparing her career win total (35) to music legend’s who collected considerably less over their lifetimes.

“Frank Sinatra got 11 GRAMMYs, The Beatles won 7, Judy Garland [won] 2. Beyonce? 33! [She’s the] most overrated artist of all time,” Megyn started her rant.

Supporting her point, the media personality referenced the divisive tweet of Big & Rich star John Rich, who took to social media moments after Bey won Best Country Album to slam the Recording Academy for awarding her the honor – suggesting the win was the result of a deal struck between the ‘Cowboy Carter‘ diva’s record label and the organization.

“…how do music award shows work? Labels and publishers all have blocks of votes; they make deals with each other. You vote for mine, I’ll vote for yours type thing. It has zero to do with who makes the best music,” Kelly quoted Rich as saying.

The disses are the latest in a slew of jeers Bey received for winning in Country categories at the GRAMMYs, with some detractors pointing to the ‘Carter’ album jams like ‘Tyrant‘ and ‘Spaghettii‘ as proof the project should not have been nominated in the genre.

In short, they mad mad.

Had anyone else won, their racist behind wouldn’t have said a word. Beyoncé have work very hard all of her music life and truth be told why haven’t these commentators now voicing their opinions didn’t voice/speak out when she could’ve-should’ve won more than 6 years ago up until now. Get the f**k over your thoughts at who should have won or who got snub, you didn’t speak all the times when Beyoncé should have won and were snub, so go sit the f**k down with your hating self

      LOL 35 awards means OVERRATED
Keep lying to yourself the world knows the truth

Block of votes got her to this point not the quality of her work, and it actually works against her because we now see her real character and it’s ugly.

Perhaps the detractors should study the history of the genre and try to understand why we find ourselves here. What’s done is done. Move on. Im sure Beyonce has…

Beyonce is low down on the global beat selling artists lists.

She’s overrated by a minority. The majority don’t care for her and the sales prove it.

My preference in country, pop and bluegrass music has always been traditional, 50’s/60’s kind. I’m actually a songwriter of country, pop and bluegrass.
After Beyonce won the award, I listened to some of her songs for the first time, and to my surprise, I liked her rendition of Jolene very much. She’s a good singer, and is very capable of singing traditional, although most of her stuff is not sung in that manner. To each his own.
