Luke Bryan may have fielded stinging attacks from Beyonce‘s dedicated fan base (affectionately called the #Beyhive) recently, but now the Country superstar is singing a less critical tune – one that’s seeing him hail her as one of the greatest acts to ever touch a microphone.
As previously reported, Bryan was unceremoniously slammed for saying the diva didn’t get awarded by the Country music industry for her album ‘Cowboy Carter‘ for not mingling with Country singers enough.
Weeks after apologizing for the perceived diss, Luke dished on Bey again recently – this time while chatting it up as a special guest on Bill Maher‘s podcast ‘Club Random.’
“Beyoncé’s, she’s probably the greatest singer in our lifetime… She’s one of the best singer(s) and performer(s) of all time, in my opinion. Gosh, she’s so successful,” Bryan relayed. “I remember seeing Destiny’s Child, and just wondering, and seeing Beyoncé, and I was like, ‘that’s one of the most beautiful human beings I’ve ever seen in my life.’ And then she sings like that, and goes on to have this career.”
The praise session hit the net just days after Beyonce made history at the 2025 GRAMMYs for capturing Album of the Year and Country Album of the Year honors.

I would say Beyonce is greatest performer while Xtina is the greatest singer
Xtina has too many a technical flaw to be the greatest singer. Inconsistent vibrato, belting riddled with tension as a result of the poor underlying technique. Leading her to crack often in her upper register. She forces her “big” sound often giving a Kermit like quality to her belting.
Her tone when she stays within her comfort zone is lovely and I like her choices of ornamentation. But those positives are subjective. Not factual. Her technical shortcomings are objective so she cannot be the greatest.
Beyonce, Le’Andria Johnson and Keke Wyatt are the best vocalists of their generation.
I agree with clarkson. Xtina is the greatest in her generation has the soul in her voice. Yes she’s not a perfect singer but her passion and talent is shining. She has a better voice than Beyonce. Beyonce on the other hand is still a great singer but not as great as Xtina. But she is better performer than Xtina because she’s a better dancer and choreography.
Having seen both artist very close up I’d say there is no competition between Bey and Xtina. Xtina is definitely a great vocalist but she get’s very predictable after listening to her for a while especially live whereas Bey is well studied and stays armed with many ways to approach a song. Also, how could Tori Kelly, Jazmine Sullivan and Ariana be lefted out of this conversation. I will say that Bey is the best of the group but I don’t think that Xtina is the 2nd best.
I watched both of them live. Xtina sings live while Beyonce lipsycnch in some of her performance and rely so much on her back up singers. But bey now has better production and choreography in her concerts and she’s been selling out arenas and stadiums. Xtina has more soul in her singing while Beyonce sounds empty because she’s focused on choreography and productions. I love both of them but give credit where it’s due. Beyonce cannot have it all.
Not a fan of both artist. I think Kelly Clarkson is the real deal.
