Lady Gaga’s historic Brazil show last night (May 3) was at the center of a bomb threat. Yet, it has emerged that the singer herself only learned of the situation from the media, the day after the performance.

As reported, two people were arrested in relation to the plot; according to the police, they are part of a terrorist group with anti-LGBTQ views.
A statement from Gaga’s rep confirmed that they learned of the threat from today’s reports. This, despite liaising with officials about security leading up to the history-making performance.
The full address from the singer’s spokesperson was issued to THR and read:
“We learned about this alleged threat via media reports this morning. Prior to and during the show, there were no known safety concerns, nor any communication from the police or authorities to Lady Gaga regarding any potential risks. Her team worked closely with law enforcement throughout the planning and execution of the concert, and all parties were confident in the safety measures in place.”
