Mariah Carey is celebrating the 20th anniversary of her blockbuster comeback album ‘The Emancipation of Mimi.’
And she’s doing so in a major way.
For, beyond mounting a residency in honor of the LP, she has gifted fans a special session.
Christened ‘Mariah Carey Live: The Mimi Sessions,’ the mini concert sees the songbird take vocal flight with stripped-back versions of ‘Don’t Forget About Us,’ ‘We Belong Together,’ ‘Say Something,’ ‘Circles,’ and ‘Your Girl.’

Legend
Sorry but this is not her best… her voice is so flat and better blow your nose first before you sing
It’s so crazy how she can hit those whistle notes so naturally and delicately. Her range is definitely a gift from God to be able to access it. And that striped piano version of Say Somethin’ was so cool.
How many takes did she have to do before her inconsistent ass finally sounded halfway like the records???
Well finally we hear her live because all these videos of her current Asian tour is 100% lipped.
And it’s been ages where it’s just her and the piano, no effects on the mic, no back up or snaps or whatsoever.
She sounds good but she seems so lifeless since her breakup and losing her mom and sister back to back. The videos of her on tour are terrible… she’s not even trying to seem believable with the lipsynching and sometimes she’s literally just sitting on a sofa and looking so empty.
Take care of yourself MC <3
Looks more and more like her late ma…uncanny!
