Responding to a viral tweet on X about the need for non-Black people to “stop” using the n-word, Banks unpacked an alternate take.
Countering the comment, she insisted that “everyone in the world” is free to draw on the polarizing term.
As for her reason? She’s placing the blame on “Black people.” The ‘212’ rapper wrote:
“No. Everyone in the world can say and do what they want and black people really have no reason to be upset about it as offensive while we run around calling each other such an ugly word because we can’t expand our vocabulary.
If we want people to let it go, we have to do so first.
African people do not use that word.”

She’s actually just stating facts. Black culture is a mess and we only hold each other back with what we promote, say, and our music.

Doesn’t matter. I’ve heard Hispanics use the word S*** and Wetback towards each other when describing other Hispanics that they don’t like it doesn’t mean other races would refer to them as that or use those words and it not be seen as disrespectful and racist.
