Leon Thomas continues to take a bite out of “career-firsts” thanks his breakout single ‘Mutt.’
The actor-singer dropped his first single in 2013, but he didn’t earn his inaugural placement on the Hot 100 until the title track from his 2024 album ‘Mutt‘ gained ground on the Pop chart.
Eventually soaring to the top 20 (#13 peak) thanks to an assist from Chris Brown in 2025, the success of the remix not only helped hoist Thomas to his first Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) but also spurred the repackaging of the tune’s parent project.
A deluxe edition titled ‘Mutt: Heel,’ the May 30-released effort is packed with the LP’s original tracklist plus a new set of songs featuring the likes of Halle Bailey, Kehlani, Big Sean, and more.
