The embattled R&B singer, currently serving a 30-year sentence for sex trafficking and racketeering, is said to be “scared out of his mind” after being rushed to a North Carolina hospital for an overdose related to prison-prescribed medication.
Sources tell TMZ the 57-year-old is back in the Special Housing Unit, despite doctors allegedly recommending two weeks of hospital care. His attorney, Nicole Blank Becker, spoke on Kelly, saying:
“He’s emotional, and he cried intermittently on the phone call/
Again, out of fear for his life.”
Fellow lawyer Beau Brindley says he’s not receiving treatment for blood clots or access to necessary medication. Now, his legal team is pushing for home confinement.
