Chloe Bailey has addressed the suggestion that her career has taken a “wrong” turn.

The R&B belle blazed onto the scene as part of Chloe x Halle with her sister Halle Bailey and embarked on a solo career in 2021 with ‘Have Mercy.’
Since then, she has released two albums, ‘In Pieces’ and 2024’s ‘Trouble In Paradise.’ She has also made waves on screens, too, starring in ‘Swarm,’ ‘Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist,’ and more.
However, that hasn’t stopped some from questioning the level of success she has achieved.
One X user took to the platform and, sharing a clip of the ‘Have Mercy’ music video, wrote:
“She was supposed to be the next big popstar of our generation, what went wrong…”

In a DIFFERENT TIMELINE, Chloe & Halle would be way more successful and popular. They both have VERY IMPRESSIVE acting careers, but that’s partly what makes their MUSIC CAREER even more disjointing. Here’s hoping Halle atleast becomes a HUGE MOVIE STAR someday. It is Halle that seems to have the most potential in both fields of entertainment.

Lol 😆 LIKEWISE, The In pieces album was ALL OVER THE PLACE. Trouble in Paradise could have had a better tracklist sequence also. When Chloe stated that Beyonce gives them FREEDOM, that’s more than apparent and NOT at all a good thing. Chloe is ALL OVER THE PLACE in several different ways, there is no saving her career because she is NOT wise, and Halle inherited that trait also, just not nearly as badly.

The MATERIAL is their, just everything else is wrong. Chloe SELF SABOTAGES… 1. Naming an album UNGODLY HOUR for instance and the cover is of a FALLEN ANGEL? 2. Releasing IN PIECES with a 3. garbage tracklist sequence and excluding the 4 very SOLID songs already with its own following (have mercy, treat me etc), 4. actually thinking FYS, UNGODLY HOUR, & TOLD YA are good songs when they are all MID at best. 5. Over selling XX(x) 💯

With songs this strong in their arsenal, it’s a shame Chloe & Halles music still hasn’t taken off yet, they’re both pushing 30 with no hits to speak of.
Atleast their ACTING careers took off most definitely. I Just feel like their catalog is FAR GREATER than Sza, coi lerey, lizzo, lotto, Nicki minaj, etc so they should be way more successful.
Chloe X Halle’s music was very niche and didn’t appeal to a young audience. Chloe herself is all over the place ; a try hard – a nerd. She hasn’t found herself as a woman or an artist yet and that’s why no one’s connecting. Flop.
How was she supposed to be the next Superstar? Normani or Tinashe had way more they could offer to the table and couldnt make it
She needed a really clever and creative team to craft an image, a narrative, and invest in it. She doesn’t stand out or have a unique identity, yet.
