Busta Rhymes has broken his silence on a lawsuit being brought against him by a former assistant – and he’s calling it nothing more than a “shakedown” attempt.
Full story below…
As reported, the ‘Touch It’ MC turned himself in to the police back in January after Dashiel Gables alleged that he assaulted him.
Now, Gibbs has filed a lawsuit, which sprinkles in additional allegations related to their working relationship.
According to All Hip Hop, Gables alleges in his federal filing that Busta violated State labor laws by failing to pay wages.
Referencing the altercation that led to the Hip-Hop icon turning himself in, it’s claimed that the 53-year-old punched him in the face for using his phone when he was supposed to be working. The alleged incident caused eye swelling and emotional trauma.
Gables is seeking millions in damages.
Moments ago, Busta issued a statement. It read:
“I have been made aware of the claims made by Dashiel Gables, and I completely and categorically deny these allegations. For a very brief period, Dashiel assisted me, but it did not work out. Apparently, Dashiel has decided to respond to being let go by manufacturing claims against me in an attempt to attack and damage my reputation. I look forward to proving these allegations false, and am preparing a countersuit, which I am confident will expose this for what it is- an attempted shake-down by a disgruntled former assistant. Ultimately, I am certain the truth will prevail.”
The developments come just days after Busta received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
With that, what are…

Typical.. Blacks love violence. Look how the men hit women and stomp on people’s heads. No such thing as a fair fight. They excel at violence and fall apart with accountability always resorting to being a victim at the end,
Right!!This is what is wrong with America today! And it is not just amount blacks, I have seen it as much from the Hispanic and even The Natives! Black Americans are our OWN biggest problem. Too many ohave a serious issue with accountability. These boys acting like this? That’s on the parents. It’s not on white people. It’s not on the system.
It’s not on racism. It’s on useless dead beat parents NOT doing their job. We want nice things in our communities, then turn around and destroy the very businesses that could provide them. We act reckless, lack emotional control, become destructive and then complain that our communities aren’t thriving. We do all of this while pointing our fingers at Whites and everything but yourselves.
Black Americans are our own biggest problem.
