Chappell Roan‘s hopped off the ‘Pink Pony‘ and on to ‘The Subway‘ to ride to the highest Hot 100 height of her career yet.
Though over a year old, the official recorded version of ‘Subway’ rolled onto streaming service on Thursday (July 31) with its touching, cinematic music video delivered on Friday (August 1).
In the week that followed, the Dan Nigro-produced song racked up a handsome streaming, sales, and radio airplay combo that helped it travel right to a #3 debut on the updated Hot 100.
Here are the numbers that powered its opening placement.
- Streaming: 25.1 million U.S.-based streams
- Radio Airplay: 787,000 audience impressions
- Sales: 6,000 downloads
With its #3 arrival, ‘Subway’ not only becomes the highest debut of Roan’s short and storied career but it’s also the highest Hot 100 rung she’s reached overall.
Her 2024 hits ‘Pink Pony Club’ and ‘Good Luck Babe!’ were previously tied for her career-best as each peaked at #4 at the height of popularity.
The Hot 100 news follows reports Roan rode to #1 on UK charts with ‘Subway.’
