Teyana Taylor invites the masses to grab the popcorn and immerse themselves in the world of her new album ‘Escape Room’ by way of a companion short film.
A showcase of her multihyphenate talent, the visual sees the star shine against the sonic backdrop of material from the project.
She is joined in the 37-minute production by guests such as ‘Mufasa’ actor boyfriend Aaron Pierre.
A whimsical affair, the audio-visual feast no doubt serves as a hearty treat for fans of Taylor, who last released a project (‘The Album’) in 2020 before announcing her retirement.
Watch the film after the jump….

Just the fact that she bothered to announce her retirement at such a young age makes her certified annoying!
She’s good and all but it doesn’t connect with me, despite all the hype and marketing.
5/10 as a music album
5.5/10 as a short movie
Watched it all, the Ai parts are bad and there are too many filters. the styling is mostly too outdated but there are some great looks, like the blood dress. the music is not bad but I don’t see myself replaying it. The best thing about it – it flows great!
3 good songs: Long Time, In Your Head. And Final Destination.
Long time was added to my favorites.
I appreciate her afford to pay attention to the art of it.
Hard Part is great too.
Other than a few tracks from KTSE, I cannot connect to Teyanas music or vibe. Something is missing and I think it’s authenticity. Idk….
I liked it. Applause for Teyana and team – including Missy Elliott. I do believe it is stronger as a visual package than as a stand alone album. Great creative work and I hope she continues to explore. Bought my copy!
