Cardi B Teases the ‘Am I the Drama Tour,’ But Reminds Fans She “Can’t Perform Like Beyonce”: Y’all “Know I Got Asthma”

Only two weeks separate Cardi B fans (affectionately known as the #BardiGang) from the Rap diva’s long-awaited sophomore album ‘Am I the Drama‘ – the follow-up to 2018’s blockbuster ‘Invasion of Privacy.’

Unlike its predecessor, Cardi has already confirmed ‘Drama’ will receive the ultimate promotional rollout that includes plans for a tour she’s putting the final touches on.

And while the tease has sent her beloved supporters into a frenzy of excitement, the GRAMMY winner – as relayed during a recent sit-down chat with Billboard – wants to make sure they prepare to come to her shows with the most realistic expectations.

As reported here, Cardi recently chatted it up with Billboard’s Carl Lamarre to dish on everything from her new album to the GRAMMYs, turning down the Super Bowl, and so much more.

When quizzed about her tour plans in support of ‘Drama,’ the rapstress (born Belcalis Almanzar) detailed what a “Cardi show” would look like.

“I feel like I know I’m a good performer, I mean…I was a stripper,” she began jokingly. “I feel like my personal tour is not going to be like any of the performances that I’ve ever had. From the aesthetics and looks, even from the way I perform, because even when I rehearse for a show I rehearse for like a week or two. But, I’m going to be rehearsing for months [for a tour].”

Beyond stepping up her health and fitness game in preparation for the jaunt, Almanzar reveals she attended several concerts of other artists to draw inspiration.

Among them was Madonna‘s ‘Celebration World Tour’ and Beyonce‘s ‘Cowboy Carter Tour.’

“I can’t perform like Beyonce, but [her show proves] it’s like you can’t half-a** nothing,” she said (as seen in the video above) before emphasizing, “I have asthma. My fans know I got asthma. They know I gotta take a water break. But, I’m going to give it my all.”

That’s not all she said. Click here to see the full interview.

I’ll believe it when I see it.

Cardi hasn’t toured her entire 8 year career.
