‘Let Me Love You‘ hitmaker Mario has broken his silence on the online hate he’s received since announcing he’s expecting a child.
In late August, the GRAMMY nominee not only took to Instagram to hard launch his relationship with realtor Esmeralda Rios but announce the two are gearing up for their first bundle of joy.
“It’s a whole universe in there! I can’t wait,” he wrote in text at the bottom of a photo of his hand over her baby bump.
And while the post brought in a flood of well wishes from fans, celebrity pals, and more, a number of commenters didn’t hold back their disappointment in the revelation that his girlfriend is a Latina woman.
Eventually tired of the weeks of negative chatter, the 39-year-old took to social media on Tuesday (September 23) to clap back.
“I’m so tired of the black women slander in the comments about how I don’t like Black women and how Black women aren’t loved,” he said to his 2.3 million followers on Instagram. “If you’re making these comments, I’m convinced YOU have a problem with Black women. Black women are loved and needed.”
Well, that’s that on that!
At writing, Mario has not announced when the couple are expecting the child to arrive nor have they revealed the gender.

Boy Bye! You are just being a hypocrite. Your action speaks for itself💅🏼 right! You said you love Black women but you prefer taco pu s sy ok.. same as that evil witch Kamala married a White man but using her minority privilege…
Why Latina women? Mario, you broke many Black women’s hearts… must be a sad week for Black women and black gays. Just admitted you can’t stand Black women already. We get it!
Of course black women are loved by some people, but apparently, not by him. Good enough reason to let the “others” buy or stream his music. The same goes for Babyface and any others. They have a right to their preference just like Black women have the right to pick and choose which artists to support.
Yes, thank you. Be careful of who you choose to visually and financially support.
