Nicki Minaj took her beloved fans (affectionately called #Barbz) from frenzy to fury in just a matter of weeks after backtracking on a previous announcement about delivering her next album in early 2026.
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) on Wednesday morning (October 15), Minaj stunned her 28 million followers on the platform with the random announcement she will no longer be dropping sixth studio album in March of next year.
“Ok, I’m not going to put out the album any more. No more music. Hope you’re happy now,” she said before tagging JAY-Z in the message.
While she did not elaborate on JAY’s alleged involvement in her decision to axe the LP, longtime fans know she has been at war for some time with the music mogul.
Regardless, Nicki’s announcement to pull the project comes less than a month after its surprising reveal which – at the time – marked a return to social media for the Rap Queen after weeks of inactivity.
The yet-titled effort would have marked the follow-up to 2023’s chart-topping ‘Pink Friday 2.’
