And the pregnant superstar continued along said trajectory this week when she turned the volume up on advocacy for HIV prevention and pushed back on the stigma surrounding PrEP.

The femcee, who topped the charts with her new album ‘Am I the Drama?,’ went live on Instagram after attending MISTR’s National PrEP Day event at The Abbey in West Hollywood.
The event, celebrating awareness and access to the HIV-preventative medication, was attended by fellow stars NeNe Leakes, Tamar Braxton, and Ts Madison.
Speaking candidly to her millions of followers, Cardi encouraged fans – especially women – to take PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis), which helps prevent HIV transmission via sex or injection drug use.
She told viewers:
“I understand where the stigma came from and everything. HIV is really, like, high in the gay community. But why you think these bitches don’t be having that shit? Y’all b*tches needa take that sh*t too. This shit for everybody.”
She added:
“You’ll most likely catch something from f*cking a rich na than a broke na. That’s math. You see how we doing algebra? 1 + 1 = take the PrEP.”
When one viewer remarked that PrEP could “mess up your liver and kidneys,” Cardi quipped:
“Baby, I’d rather my liver and kidneys be messed up than my p*ssy.”
