Building on its early wins on Spotify and record-breaking streams, the project is eyeing a massive debut on the Billboard 200.
According to Hits Daily Double, the LP is pacing towards first week U.S. sales of:
3 Million – 3.5 Million Units
The seismic feat, which follows first DAY sales of 2.7 million, puts Swift in contention to snatch Adele’s first-week sales record.
For, the British belter shifted 3.38 million copies of ’25’ in 2015, the largest launch sum since Nielsen began recording data in 1991.

No coincidence Adele & Taylor are both WHITE. I will give credit where it’s due however, this album is WAY more interesting than anything else Taylor has released this decade, (Its also my fav album cover from Taylor). The songs I’ve heard just have more replay value than lame songs like FORTNIGHT & ANTI HERO. It travels & leans more towards GOOD, not GREAT as opposed to the straight up MID to SKIP that im used to hearing from this overrated jar of mayonnaise.
I honestly never thought Taylor could beat Adele’s record, I expected some new (WHITE) MALE artist that could both sing and dance to do it and not any time soon either.

This feat and Taylor’s success in general proves that IMAGE matters more to white ppl than anything else, including talent. If Beyonce a released a DECENT album like this one especially with no promo or single, it would be lucky to do Cardi Numbers. If Act 3 is another SURPRISE release then I expect 1 million but it has to be an INCREDIBLE body of work to achieve that. My point is that TAYLOR can do 3x more than that figure & even if this album was absolute trash like Reputation was.

Wow damn, congrats to Taylor. She beats everyone’s record. Bey wishes she could do these numbers. No doubt Bey is a better performer. It’s just her first week sales numbers, well yeah, they don’t perform well. The numbers don’t add up. Maybe when her music is more authentic and less hmmmm what’s the word, not recycled, perhaps the right word is manufactured – and if she connects more with her audience. Then maybe her numbers will improve. Maybe she’s too private, too rehearsed and polished.
