Guess who’s back again?
With little warning, global music superstar Bruno Mars unleashed his long-awaited new single ‘I Just Might‘ on Friday (January 9) – just days after confirming the tune would act as the first single from his March-due studio album ‘The Romantic.’
“Hey, Mr. DJ (Oh, oh, oh) / Play a song for this pretty little lady (Oh, oh, oh) / ‘Cause if she dance as good as she look right now (Oh, oh, oh) / I just might, I just might make her my baby,” he croons on sizzling new track.
Faced with high expectations given that ‘Might’ serves as his first official solo release since the era that supported his 2016-released LP ‘24K Magic,’ hop inside to see if the inaugural ‘Romantic’ single proves it was worth the wait.

He’s chosen to steal from the 1970s this time or maybe it’s just a silk sonic album leftover because that’s what it sounds like the video is just missing Anderson Paak because you can literally hear his vocals in this song.
I’m a big Bruno Mars fan. But this ain’t it. Sounds lazy, like a Silk Sonic leftover.. only 9 tracks on his upcoming album again 🙄
Ok I changed my mind a bit.. still feels it is repetitive, but i admit that i’ve been listening to the song on repeat 😂

Never liked him: moves too fast, strained voice until Gaga’s mezzo evened out his screeching on that duo. We have Spotify for oldies; why bring the past into the present?
In 2026 I’m trying to mix in good and maybe not so good feedback instead of one or the other. I like Bruno Mars. I like the song. However, I do feel like its reductive and there’s no growth. I don’t feel like I know who Bruno Mars is. He’s very talented. I’d just like him to skip back the vintage cos play and give us something authentic like when he first came out. But, whatever works. He probably could care less about my opinion.
