Nicki Minaj fans (affectionately called #Barbz) who thought her longstanding beef with JAY-Z had cooled were served a shocking reminder of the opposite on Sunday night (February 1).
To say Minaj’s history with JAY-Z (born Shawn Carter) is complicated would be an understatement.
Spending most of 2025 taking time to slam the rapper-mogul for everything from his alleged role in denying Lil Wayne a headlining Super Bowl Halftime Show slot to what she believed was his contribution to unscrupulous business practices at Roc Nation, Nicki spared few opportunities to share her disdain for Carter.
And while much of her attention this year has been turned to avowing her love for Trump and beefing with Don Lemon, the Harajuku Barbie took to X (formerly known as Twitter) on GRAMMY night to remind her followers on the platform that JAY is still very much on her radar.
“Are y’all understanding these people have been sacrificing children as a way of gaining and maintaining power? If you ever vote Demoncrat again, you’re just as soulless as they are and will perish,” she captioned a meme of Carter alongside singers Aaliyah and Beyonce at the respective ages they allegedly met and began dating.

Another standout quote from the tirade was an update on the status of her sixth studio album.
The follow-up to 2023’s chart-topping ‘Pink Friday 2,’ Minaj asserted the new project – which was slated for a March 2026 release – is now on hold until “my contract is renegotiated and until I tell [my fans] about all the sabotage this RICO is finding out about Billboard.”
At writing, no one from JAY’s camp has responded to Nicki’s shocking claims.

They just want to be included and made to feel “seen.” Blacks don’t notice, though, that they vote again, and again, and again, and never get anything in return. WTF are you talking about? Blacks received full voting rights in 1965 and have gotten a LOT since then. Our voting block is such a threat that white people constantly try to discourage us from voting and are currently trying to dilute our vote to render it ineffective. Economic policies that directly affect everyday people happens on the local level. It’s through Republican state policies and distribution of resources, or lack thereof, that has significantly held Blacks back. A democratic city in a republican state is still dependent on the state and can be systematically disenfranchised.
