50 Cent donates 0K of the Diddy doc proceeds to abuse survivors \50 Cent is making good on his word, and then some.

The rapper-turned-mogul has followed through on his pledge to the Netflix docuseries ‘Sean Combs: The Reckoning,’ donating a reported $500,000 to a range of organisations supporting victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Taking to social media, 50 made it clear the move was intentional, stating he promised proceeds from the project would go directly to those impacted and he’s standing on that. In a video donation, he said:

“I said I would donate proceeds to domestic violence and to sexual assault victims, and I keep my word. I didn’t say where I would make the donations, and I like Shreveport.”

The funds have been distributed across multiple non-profits in Shreveport, a city he’s been actively investing in for years.

While the charitable gesture is being widely praised, the moment is not without edge. The doc itself revisits the controversial legacy of Diddy, who’s currently serving a 50-month sentence for two charges of transportation for prostitution.

It’s not lost on most that the G-Unit General and the Bad Boy mogul are far from friends.

Still, philanthropy takes centre stage here, and this time the message is bigger than the mess.
