As previously reported, Grant, a key architect behind the group’s rise, passed away at the age of 52. Now, according to a statement released by his family to Rolling Stone, Grant died following a fight with pancreatic cancer
In their statement, his family shared:
“A courageous and hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Power will always be loved, and his legacy will forever remain.”
While Grant was not a performing member of Wu-Tang Clan, he played a pivotal role in the foundation and business aspects of the group.
Oliver “Power” Grant’s impact on the culture extended far beyond the stage, solidifying his place as a pivotal leader in the hip-hop world.
