During a candid stop on ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’ on Thursday (April 16), the “Vocal Bible” (born Brandy Norwood) reflected on a number of highlights from her memoir including her unforgettable first encounter with Pop icon Whitney Houston (who she would later film the ground-breaking 1997 ‘Cinderella‘ television film with).

“It was surreal. I couldn’t believe it. And I’m just so thankful that I got a chance to meet with her and work with her,” Norwood shared before dishing on ‘Cinderella.’ “It was an out-of-body experience just to hear her sing live and have her personality and to just have such a down-to-earth personality. And she just made me feel like I was just, she knew me my whole life.”

Elsewhere in the interview, she opened up about why now is the time to release such a deeply personal book, explaining it was written to “heal.”

“So much of my story is out there, but it’s not complete because I’m not the one telling it,” the GRAMMY winner told Hudson.

As for if the best seller will eventually have a screen adaptation, she jokingly teased it will come only if Hudson “produces it” – an update that comes nearly two years after Norwood made headlines for saying she wants ‘Little Mermaid‘ star Halle Bailey to assume the leading role.

When it comes to what’s next, Brandy made it clear she’s been bitten by the performance bug again thanks to the success of 2025’s ‘The Boy Is Mine Tour‘ with fellow R&B diva Monica.

“[‘The Boy Is Mine Tour’] reawakened me. I want to tour the world now,” she said to thunderous applause from the audience. “I would love that. I would absolutely love that.”

As if teases of touring the globe wasn’t enough, she also reiterated her desire to launch a Vegas residency!

Just herself doing a tour of her olds songs , maybe in small clubs but certainly not large arenas. She will need iconic stars to pull it off just like the tour with her and Monica. The thing with Brandy she gonna want top billing and all the credit.

She needs a Beyoncé to invite her for a duet on stage to reintroduce her into public consciousness. She’s been gone for so long. She could pull off a Vegas residency, though.
