Mary J. Blige may be racing the clock as it ticks toward the May 1 kickoff of her highly anticipated ‘My Life, My Story‘ residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM Las Vegas, but she’s seemingly not too busy to bless her fans with new music.
Not even a month after surprising music lovers with the official music video for her February-released single ‘More Than a Lover,’ Blige has followed with the new tune ‘Want Love.’
“I want somebody who makes me feel like everything / I want want love, want love, want love / I don’t want nobody that won’t fight for me, I want want love, want love, want lovе,” she sings on the sizzling new track.
Released Friday (April 3) after ample teasing, hear ‘Want Love’ in full inside.
At writing, it’s not been confirmed if ‘More Than a Lover’ and ‘Want Love’ are attached to larger projects – especially since the veteran R&B diva previously alluded to retirement and suggested 2024’s ‘Gratitude‘ would be her last album.
