The 39-year-old rapper released his long-awaited album Iceman on Friday, May 15. He also dropped two surprise albums, Habibti and Maid Of Honour.
On the opening track “Make Them Cry,” Drake shared his father’s health battle. He did not disclose the type of cancer.
“My dad got cancer right now, we battlin’ stages,” he raps. “Trust me when I say there’s plenty things that I’d rather be facin’.”
Fans flooded the comments with prayers. “Get well soon ❤️,” one wrote. “Sending love and prayers your way,” said another.
Dennis is a former drummer for Jerry Lee Lewis. He returned to music in 2016. On Father’s Day 2021, he released “Father and Son,” a song about his bond with Drake.
On the same track, Drake also opens up about aging and fake fans. “I’m ’bout to turn 40, dog, I’m battlin’ agin’,” he raps.

Lets stop using Apple Music charts as a reference for relevance when it comes to numbers. Its streaming and anyone can do that in the digital age. Madonna did something similar in the past and then more artist came alomg and smashed that said record. The ICEman era could have been a good one if he moved on and grew as an artist but he hasn’t in these recent years. Drake is an actor cos playing as a rapper. When will yall see this? The reviews for the album have been MID but time will tell if it will make a lasting impression in upcoming months/years.
This is the biggest thing I’ve ever seen an artist do in my generation, and quite frankly I can’t think of a bigger artist moment ever. Drake reached unfathomable levels this week!!!
