Drake Shatters Streaming Records with ‘Iceman,’ TRIPLE Album Drop

Drake is making clear: never doubt his dominance.

The Rap titan returned in regal form with not one, not two, but three brand new albums.

And the trifecta is off to a flying start on the streaming scene.

So much so that it’s seeing Drizzy bulldoze records. Plural.

Full story below….

On Spotify, the combined first-day streaming haul for ‘Iceman’, ‘Maid of Honor’, and ‘Habibti’ totaled a colossal 197 million streams globally – making Drake the most-streamed artist of 2026 in just 24 hours after dropping the three-pack of projects on Friday (May 15).

‘ICEMAN’ led the pack with 140.2 million streams, instantly becoming the biggest album debut of 2026 on Global Spotify.

Meanwhile, ‘MAID OF HONOUR’ opened with 29.1 million streams, while ‘Habibti’ followed closely behind with 27.7 million.

The project’s breakout smash ‘Make Them Cry’ debuted at #1 on Global Spotify with 13.219 million streams in a single day. The track also stormed to #1 on US Spotify with 5.943 million plays.

In the process, the song officially shattered the record for the biggest single-day Spotify streaming total for a Hip-Hop song.

The previous record had been held by Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us.’

Meanwhile, over on Apple Music, the Toronto native is also reportedly dominating charts across multiple territories, further cementing what is shaping up to be one of the year’s biggest music moments.

With all three albums surging simultaneously and streaming records already falling, the latest chapter of Drake’s reign is off to a blockbuster start.

It’s a clever marketing strategy that I don’t think has been done before. But also feels like a bit of a cheat to manipulate the charts and records. I don’t doubt that if Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar, Madonna, Bad Bunny, Rihanna etc had done the same, they’d be smashing streaming records also.

He is now free from those blood $ ucking MFs at Universal, fulfilling his obligations. Plus, Billboard counts 1500 streams as 1 album!

Grandonna has killed the momentum by releasing a sheer garbage with that Boringna Carpenter + lame promo single. Her Confessions II is a done deal.

His team clearly understood the assignments across music and marketing. He appears to be following Beyoncé’s promotional strategy, which emphasizes releasing everything at once to preserve momentum before it dissipates…
