Pop provocateur Kim Petras found herself at the center of a digital storm this week after eyebrow-raising comments about Nicki Minaj surfaced on her newly launched fan chat platform.

In the since-removed messages, Petra’s account appeared to take aim at her former collaborator, sparking immediate backlash and confusion among fans, especially given the pair’s 2023 link-up on ‘Alone.’ The deleted comment said:
“detour coming to outstream alone, we need to remove this song with that beast of a lady from my [discography] what y’all think.”
However, before the narrative could spiral further, Petras’ team stepped in to shut it down. A rep insists the remarks were not authored by the ‘Unholy’ hitmaker, revealing to PEOPLE that:
“Kim Petras launched a new chat feature on her website yesterday where her name was meant to be user-protected, however earlier today someone other than Kim was able to use the name and type things without her knowledge or approval. Kim has been in Miami working today, and has not yet had the opportunity to log in and personally engage with fans on the website. The chat feature has since been disabled and removed from the website until the issue gets resolved”
The moment arrives against the backdrop of prior tension between the two stars, particularly following Minaj’s controversial social media posts about transgender youth, a personal topic Petras has publicly spoken on with passion.
This also comes ahead of Petras’ new era via her upcoming project ‘Detour’ set to drop May 29.

Playin’ dirty politics, movin’ slick and quick,
She ain’t a queen, she part of that spewing narratives game,
In the shadows where they hustle, chasin’ power but ther r lame.
Nicki is repulse… thats all I can say
