The rapper, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was arrested by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in the Orlando area. Court records obtained by CBS News Miami show the charge is trafficking MDMA, a felony.
Kapri, 28, is currently being held in jail without bond. He is awaiting a court hearing.
The Pompano Beach native was born and raised in Broward County. In July 2025, the city honoured him with a key to the city. City leaders cited his charitable efforts. According to the city, Kapri donated air conditioning units to families during the summer months. He also distributed hundreds of turkeys during the holidays and regularly provided Christmas gifts and bicycles to local children.
Kapri has had previous legal encounters. He received a pardon from President Trump in 2021 for federal weapons charges. Past arrests have also included weapons and drug-related offenses.
The current arrest involves MDMA trafficking. No further details about the specific allegations have been released at this time. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has not provided additional comment.
The court hearing date has not yet been announced.
