The rap queen recently opened up about her growing allegiance to Donald Trump, revealing that she no longer wants to keep her political views hidden.

During a sprawling interview with Time from Mar-a-Lago, Minaj praised Trump’s aura, comparing his cultural presence to Marilyn Monroe, saying:
“Donald Trump is his own vibe.”
This echoes comments she made earlier this year at the Accounts Summit, where she took to the stage and revealed:
“I am probably the president’s number one fan, and that’s not going to change,”
But the chart-topper’s political views did not start this year. She also reflected on the backlash she faced following her controversial comments in 2025 about the persecution of Christian communities in Nigeria, admitting the experience pushed her toward conservative circles. She says:
“If they would have left me alone, maybe I would not have done so much.”
Elsewhere, Minaj took aim at former President Barack Obama, claiming Black men felt “unheard” by his comments during the 2024 election cycle, while also reigniting her long-running issues with Jay-Z and Roc Nation. She says:
“I think Jay-Z ended up costing Obama a lot, whether he knows it or not, lots of rappers don’t like Jay-Z and were afraid to say it.”
The rapper added that many celebrities privately agree with her politics, she notes:
“Many celebrities feel the way I do, but they don’t say it. Sometimes you just need one brave person to get the brunt of the impact. I think I am the catalyst for that change.”
