Peabo Bryson is receiving an outpouring of support after news emerged that the celebrated R&B vocalist has suffered a stroke.
The two-time Grammy winner, whose unmistakable voice powered some of Disney’s most beloved anthems and a string of R&B classics, is currently undergoing medical treatment.

According to a statement from the family, the 75-year-old singer is receiving medical care following the health emergency.
“Two-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and balladeer, Peabo Bryson has suffered a stroke and is currently under medical care.”
The statement went on to request privacy for the performer’s loved ones as they navigate the situation.
“At this time, the family requests privacy as they navigate this deeply personal moment together. The thoughts, prayers and love of friends and fans are welcomed and deeply appreciated.”
A towering figure in R&B, Bryson is best known to mainstream audiences for the Oscar-winning Disney duets ‘Beauty and the Beast’ with Celine Dion and ‘A Whole New World’ with Regina Belle. Beyond those signature hits, he built a decades-spanning career with favorites such as ‘If Ever You’re in My Arms Again’, ‘Can You Stop the Rain’, and ‘Tonight, I Celebrate My Love’.
