Rich Homie Quan fans are speaking out. An AI-generated video of the late rapper has sparked backlash.

Full story below…

The teaser appeared on the rapper’s X account. It appears to promote a music video for the song ‘Still Dead,’ which takes inspiration from the 2022 death of PnB Rock.

The snippet shows Quan rapping in front of the camera, entering a home, hugging his children, and taking a phone call inside a car. Generative AI created the entire portrayal.

Fans responded negatively.

One person called the video “wild and lowkey disrespectful.” Others said the team should leave Quan’s memory alone. Some suggested using animation instead, pointing to Juice WRLD‘s “Already Dead” video.

A few commenters noted the potential hypocrisy. They asked why the AI-generated Quan faces backlash when the Tupac hologram at Coachella in 2012 did not receive the same level of criticism.

Despite the overwhelmingly negative response, the team released ‘Still Dead’ on Friday.
