The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer sat down with Billboard Japan ahead of her run of shows in the region next month.
During the candid sit-down, Ms Jackson revealed that she has new music on the way.
Opening up, she shared:
“I’ve been promising new music for a very, very, very, very, very long time, And I’ve been in the studio, even as of this year, still recording, creating music. I guess I’m a perfectionist. It’s not that it’ll ever be perfect, but when I finish something, then I think, ‘oh, it’s not quite where I want it to be (yet), then I’ll move on to the next or do more.”
Continuing, she added:
“But I plan to present it to you, my fans, this year.”
