Nearly two decades after 2007’s ‘Love Hate’ became his Billboard breakthrough album, serial hitmaker The-Dream has dreamed up its conceptual successor: the aptly titled ‘Love Hate 2.’
His first major-label effort since 2013’s ‘IV Play,’ the new LP is slated to arrive to digital shelves in the coming weeks courtesy of a new partnership with Republic Records.
Ahead of confirming its official release date, the 48-year-old gave anxious fans a sneak peek at the album’s content by unveiling its lead single ‘Bring That Body.’
“Call it hatin’, but he ain’t sh*t / And the word is, that n**** ain’t lovin’ you / And that ain’t right (Well, I got time) / Shawty, bring that body over here / Leave that f*ck n**** over there,” he croons over the self-produced track co-helmed by longtime production partner Tricky Stewart.

One thing you can bet the farm on is that a black song is going to be about seks, and doing some heaux isht. Cheat on your man, girl. It’s okay. Bring me your body. 🤦🏾♀️
This guy makes really good music it’s a shame that his career is not huge as an artist. I know he’s not struggling in the money department because he’s written some huge hits for others but I wish his own music got the recognition it deserves.
