A$AP Rocky is speaking out for the first time on the terrifying shooting incident that took place at his and Rihanna’s Los Angeles home earlier this year, and he is holding nothing back.

The Harlem native opened up in his cover interview with VIBE, making history as the first cover star for the highly anticipated relaunch of the magazine’s print edition.
In the interview, Rocky spilled about the March shooting that shook his family, describing the moment as “unprovoked, ” scary,” and “deeply hurtful.”
In his own words, Rocky shared:
“It was f***ed up, um, it was hurtful, you know what I’m saying? It was, it was scary, all that f***ed up s***. You know, um, somebody attempted, pointed at me and my family. That f***ed up s*** was just f***ed up, and it was unprovoked. It was out of nowhere, you know?”
The accused shooter, Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, faces multiple felony charges and could potentially face life in prison.
Despite the incident, Rocky made it clear that he refuses to let fear rob him of his peace, especially in his hometown, New York City :
“I don’t want to be robbed of my peace and joy, you know? But in my own city, I do not feel afraid or threatened.”
According to reports, the shooting has had a lasting impact on Rihanna’s day-to-day life as well.
That said, the couple has continued to show up and show out, most recently shutting down the Met Gala with their looks and reminding the world that they are very much still that couple.
