In her statement, Joy reflected on her past relationship with the embattled mogul and said she often prioritized his happiness over her own comfort.
“Everybody plays the fool sometime, and I have been the biggest fool.”
Elsewhere, the model alleged that the footage was later used as part of an extortion attempt.
“I was blackmailed by the person in the video and was threatened that if I didn’t give him the lump sum of money that they would leak it on the web.”
According to Joy, she was contacted years ago by a media outlet that had allegedly acquired the footage. She claims the company ultimately chose not to distribute it after learning of the circumstances surrounding the recording.
“I never consented to this tape being recorded.”
The statement arrives as discussion surrounding the leak continues to intensify online. Meanwhile, 50 Cent, who shares son Sire with Joy, also weighed in publicly with a series of controversial social media posts.
