HBO is giving fans an intimate look at one of Hip-Hop’s greatest minds. For, the network announced an eight-part documentary series with Jay-Z titled ‘JAŸ-Z IN 8,’ directed by Rick Rubin.

The series features candid conversations between Rubin and Hov. They will discuss his music, lyrics, life experiences, and creative process.
The official teaser has been released. The series debuts this fall on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max in the U.S.
Executive producers include Jay, Daniel Kaluuya, and Rick Rubin. Leila Mattimore and David Rohde serve as producers.
The series, produced by Tetragrammaton produces the series, promises to be a deep and intimate exploration of the artist’s career. Rubin previously helmed the acclaimed documentary series McCartney 3,2,1 for HBO.
This marks another major documentary project for HBO, which has produced music documentaries on artists including Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.
The teaser offers a glimpse into the conversations, with JAŸ-Z reflecting on pain and how it shapes creativity.
