While previewing her unreleased song ‘Give It All Away’ during a recent performance at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in California, the singer explained the emotional inspiration behind the record. She told fans:
“…I realized that the drinking wasn’t numbing my pain it was causing more pain, and it was just a crutch that wasn’t working.”
The Pop star described sobriety as an ongoing process, noting that she now finds gratitude in simply being present and grounded in her daily life. She told the audience the song was written as a reminder that healing often comes from surrender rather than suppression.
Simpson, who celebrated eight years of sobriety last year, continues to reflect on her journey of recovery and self-renewal.
