50 Cent may have made headlines for once turning down a $3 million check to perform at a Trump rally, but – if recent reports are to be believed – the TV-music mogul is now singing a different tune.
Via news broken by our friends at DailyBeast on Monday (June 29), 50 (born Curtis Jackson) is one of multiple Hip Hop stars tapped to headline a members-only MAGA event on July 3 (the eve of America’s 250th anniversary).
Not to be mistaken with President Trump’s now-unraveled Freedom250 celebration, Jackson is scheduled to appear at the Executive Branch – the Georgetown club co-owned by the Commander-in-Chief’s eldest son Donald Trump Jr.
The move marks a clear change of heart for the ‘In Da Club’ rapper who once – while discussing the downfall of Kanye West – spoke openly about avoiding political affiliations.
“I’m afraid about politics,” he said in October 2024 while chatting with ‘The Breakfast Club.’ “It’s because when you do get involved in it, no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you.”
That was then.
Other rappers slated to perform include Jackson’s longtime nemesis Ja Rule as well as Timbaland and Busta Rhymes.
And while the announcement has certainly courted its fair share of criticism, 50 has not publicly responded as of the time of this report.
