Lil Wayne recently announced that he and Madi Cannon have broken up, revealing that they were never engaged:

Opening up about the split during a recent livestream, Wayne explained that the decision was his, stressing that Cannon is “an amazing person” with a “beautiful soul.” He suggested he wanted to shield her from the scrutiny and negativity that often comes with his public life, he added:
“Obviously, due to the validity of the temperature of today’s crazy world and culture, I considered I don’t wanna be such a burden on such an amazing person.”
He also made it clear that they were “not engaged” and have decided to part ways.
The candid revelation arrives amid a turbulent period for the rapper, who has recently made headlines following criticism surround missed and delayed tour dates. However he did confirm during the stream he will be in Iowa next.
While the breakup marks the end of their romance, Wayne made it clear he continues to hold Cannon in the highest regard.
