With a string of Billboard 200 #1 hits (among his solo albums) dating back to 2015’s ‘DS2,’ rapper Future is no stranger to the pressure of keeping a winning streak alive.
And though the buzz around his latest project, the July 10-released ‘The Real Me,’ doesn’t exactly mirror the excitement that’s accompanied some of his more trumpeted efforts, industry analysts are pretty sure its first-week sales willl still ensure his Billboard victory run remains intact.
Future’s ‘The Real Me’
Predicted First-Week Sales (SPS): 131,000 units
Predicted Billboard 200 Debut: #1
According to HDD, ‘The Real Me‘ is set to debut atop next week’s Billboard 200 with total first-week sales slightly north of 131,000.
If the prediction proves true, it will mark the 12th chart-topper of Future’s career and first return to the pole position since making history with the Metro Boomin-assisted ‘We Still Don’t Trust You‘ LP in 2024.
With the crowning of ‘Real’ at #1, the 3-time GRAMMY winner will move to third place on the all-time list of American acts with the most toppers on the tally following Taylor Swift (15) and JAY-Z (14).
Among all artists, Future will rank fourth following The Beatles (19), Drake (15), Swift (15), and JAY (14).
Keep it locked to That Grape Juice to find out the final first-week figures of ‘Real’ once they’re revealed on Sunday (July 19).
