Trey Songz has avoided jail time in his latest legal wrangle.

The R&B singer received a one-year conditional discharge after pleading to a non-criminal harassment violation.
The sentence stems from a December 2024 incident. Prosecutors accused Songz of punching an employee at Dramma Night Club in Times Square. They initially charged him with harassment and misdemeanour attempted assault.
Songz also faced a felony count of second-degree mischief. He allegedly broke around $1,500 worth of property at Mira restaurant and hookah lounge in Manhattan. Prosecutors later dropped that charge.
He completed mental health treatment and abided by court-ordered conditions. Consequently, the court allowed him to withdraw his prior misdemeanour plea. He now stands convicted only of harassment, a non-criminal violation.
His attorney, Mitch Schuster, expressed satisfaction with the outcome. Schuster told Rolling Stone:
“Our investigation revealed significant discrepancies in the alleged facts underlying the felony allegation. Mr. Neverson did not cause any of the alleged damage. When confronted with these discrepancies, the District Attorney’s Office agreed to dismiss the felony case.”
If Songz remains compliant with the sentence’s terms for the next year, he will not face incarceration or probation.
