It looks like the wait for Rihanna‘s long-awaited next album may finally be gathering momentum.
For, A$AP Rocky accidentally let slip that the global superstar is back in the studio.

During a candid sit-down with Jason Lee, when pressed about whether family life has delayed RiRi’s elusive project, Rocky revealed:
“She in the studio right now…Sorry, babe.”
Before admitting he may have revealed more than he intended. The revelation is the latest encouraging update for fans eagerly awaiting Rihanna’s first studio album since 2016’s ‘ANTI.’
Earlier this year, the Bajan icon confirmed that she had finally “cracked the code” for the project after years of experimentation, insisting the music would arrive only when it truly reflected her artistic vision.
Elsewhere in the interview, Rocky reflected on Rihanna’s unwavering support through some of his darkest moments, crediting her with standing by him following his father’s passing, his Sweden arrest and his legal battles.

If we’re objective, she stopped selling around Rated R. Although her best cohesive work was encapsulated in ANTI, it undersold after the successive flops of 20 Seconds, American Oxygen, and BBHMM. Only Samsung buying 1 mil. copies saved the day. I feel she’s afraid to flop (rightfully so) and is better off releasing a Greatest Hits with a couple of unreleased or new songs and close the music chapter for good. She has her hands full with a cosmetics empire, 3 kids, and a future alimony beneficiary she’s trying to keep interested by backing up her b-ooty onto him and having him h-ump her in public in Barbedos.
