Beyoncé is lending her support to those impacted by the devastating earthquake in Colombia.

For, the superstar has announced a personal donation of $1 million to organizations providing relief on the ground following the magnitude 7.4 quake that struck Chocó on August 10.

Parkwood Entertainment confirms that the funds are for immediate assistance in some of the hardest-hit communities, including food and housing supplies for residents displaced by the disaster.

The earthquake resulted in loss of life, injuries, widespread structural damage, and disruption to roads and vital infrastructure.

Queen Bey’s latest act of giving continues a long-running commitment to disaster relief.

Last year, her BeyGOOD Foundation donated $2.5 million toward Los Angeles wildfire relief, adding to years of philanthropic efforts around the world.

The news arrives shortly before the singer’s September 4 birthday, which will also bring the 20th anniversary re-release of ‘B’Day’.
