While backstage at the Wine & Slow Jams Festival, the ‘Where I Wanna Be’ singer revealed during an interview that he and Joe are preparing to go head to head for Verzuz.

According to Jones, the pair are se two are the stage on August 20, although the matchup has yet to receive an official announcement. In other words, the R&B veteran may have just delivered an exclusive before the powers that be were ready to make it public.
And Jones is already setting the tone. He stressed that the event should be viewed as a “celebration” rather than a competition.
If the date holds, R&B fans won’t have to wait long to see these two heavyweights bring their classics to the stage.
