“She did it again” took on a new meaning for Tyla this week thanks to the Billboard debut of her latest album ‘A*Pop.’
Tyla’s ‘A*Pop’
First-Week Sales (SPS): 16,966 units
Billboard 200 Debut: #43
With first-week sales slightly north of 16,000, ‘A*Pop’ stormed the updated edition of the Billboard 200 with a #43 debut – the week’s second highest-charting new effort from a female act following the #3 premiere from Charli XCX‘s ‘Music, Fashion, Film.’
Despite missing the all-genre chart’s top 40 upon its opening (unlike its 2024 predecessor which bowed at #24), the July 24-released project – home to fan-favorite singles ‘She Did It Again,’ ‘Is It Love,’ and ‘Chanel‘ – fared better on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart with a #5 debut.
Her eponymous debut LP landed at #2 on the same chart.
A promising start for ‘A*Pop,’ the project shows poise to reach even higher heights once Tyla hits the road in its support on the forthcoming world tour of the same name.
Until we find out for sure, look below to see who joins her on the updated edition of TGJ Chart Check.

Some didn’t even think it would crack billboard 200 but it did, top 50, not bad at all. Although it should be higher. I feel like her team didn’t promote ‘she did it again’ enough, that’s what should have pushed sales, why didn’t they send the song to urban radio, beats me
