Rick Ross Blames Fake Bot Numbers for Poor Set In Stone First-Week Sales

Rick Ross is dismissing his weak album sales. The rapper blamed “propaganda and fake bot numbers” after ‘Set In Stone’ debuted at No. 39 on the Billboard 200.

The album moved roughly 19,000 equivalent units in its first week. This marks the weakest debut of Ross’s career.

Ross addressed the numbers in a video. He said:

“Real Hip-Hop lovers should never get caught up in the propaganda and fake bot numbers. Go to the product. Test it. How amazing is the music? Long as they spending money, Rozay putting the dope music out.”

50 Cent wasted no time mocking the sales on Instagram. He posted:

“LOL HE GOT AWAY WITH IT FOR A WHILE, BUT ITS OVER NOW JIG IS UP! 20 features under 10 thousand sales. Damn boy it’s over.”

50 also shared a photo of himself eating popcorn, writing: “So when your tickets don’t sell, and your album don’t sell, what do ya do? Promote car shows and sell chicken wings.”

Hot 97’s The Kid Mero also weighed in, pointing to the irony after Ross branded Drake “washed” following the release of ‘Iceman.’ That album spent four consecutive weeks at No. 1.

Ross has not responded to 50 Cent’s latest jabs.
