This marks a new milestone in her long-standing relationship with the fashion house. She became the first Black ambassador for Dior in 2015.
Rihanna also covers the September 2026 issue of ELLE. The feature, written by Roxane Gay, explores her status as a beauty icon and her partnership with Dior.
Francis Kurkdjian, Dior’s perfume creation director, crafted the scent as an ode to her. He described it as being:
“Based on an image of an unfettered, liberated young woman, who dares to embrace the world with clarity and genius.”
Highlighting RiRi’s unbridled confidence, Gay writes that she “lives in her body unapologetically” and “wears what she wants.” The piece also notes how she has saved “something of herself for herself” in an industry that often pressures women to give everything.
The partnership arrives as Rihanna continues to build her beauty empire with Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty.

She recently returned to the stage at Jay-Z’s Yankee Stadium show, telling the crowd:
“Oh my God, I missed this sh*t, y’all.”

Fans continue to wait for new music, but Rihanna remains focused on her ventures. She has said she enjoys antagonizing her fans a little, telling Entertainment Tonight in 2020: “They antagonize me, too! So they get it right back.”
The fragrance campaign and ELLE cover capture her as a woman who lives on her own terms.
