The ‘Fancy’ femcee, who has repeatedly made clear that she was stepping away from music, has revealed that she is back in the studio recording.

Taking to Instagram, Iggy shared a carousel of studio snaps alongside a candid life update that saw her open up about her complicated relationship with music, the industry, and the fans who continue to ask for new material.
She wrote:
“I am back recording music.
Is that a bad idea? Maybe. Probably. Definitely.
Still, every time I’m incapacitated by mushrooms of the magical kind I seem to have an inner crisis about who Iam if I’m not making music.
I also have to admit, although I enjoy living very privately & offline… I have a sort of anxiety when I do post or announce other things here, because I know my comments will be riddled with people asking when I will make music.
Anyway blah blah blah… after months (maybe years) of pondering I’ve decided it’s unlike me to run away from anything in life.
So recently I decided just to be sure I haven’t been running away from MYSELF too, I’d better record and guess what? I drove home really fucking happy that day.
Baby steps my darlings but I fear I may be coming…”

The update is notable given how firm Azalea has been about leaving the industry behind.
As reported, she announced she would not be finishing her album at the top of 2024, later doubled down on not returning, and last year flatly said: “I don’t want to come back”.
