Lil Durk may have beaten one federal case, but his legal fight is not over yet.

According to HipHopHero, reporter Michael Blackshire shared that sources close to Durk now expect the October 5 trial date to be pushed back.

“I was told today by someone in Lil Durk’s camp that the October 5th VICAR trial will be at a later date. The next in-person court appearance will be November 4th for the bond hearing.”

The timing is notable. A bond hearing taking place after a full trial would make little procedural sense, which is why attention has now shifted to November 4 as the next major date in the case.

As reported, the VICAR charges were previously severed from Durk’s murder-for-hire trial after the judge ruled prosecutors tried to bring them into the first case too late.

Durk was later found not guilty in that murder-for-hire trial, a major win considering he had been facing life behind bars. Still, the separate racketeering-related case has kept him in custody as his legal team pushes for release.

The fresh angle here is clear: this is no longer just about whether another trial is coming. It is now about whether Durk can secure bond before that next legal chapter officially begins.

If convicted in the VICAR case, Durk could again face life in prison. If he prevails, he could walk free, as no other pending charges have been reported.
