Megan Thee Stallion is turning heartbreak into growth. She opened up to InStyle about her painful split from NBA star Klay Thompson, revealing she felt “on edge” throughout the relationship. At the same time, she is gearing up to release new music.

Five months have passed since she ended things with Thompson, and Megan is now ready to speak candidly.
She described the breakup as “very rough,” comparing the experience to being “put through the washing machine and the dryer with tins, shovels, and a cactus.” She also admitted she spent much of the relationship trying to force something that didn’t fit. She explained:
“I think I just kept trying to make pieces fit that didn’t belong, trying to fit myself into someone else’s life. I was losing myself a little bit.”
The rapper also made her boundaries moving forward clear, stating:
“I cannot be minimized. I will not be behind any man. I will have a partner.”
She also emphasized that being cheated on doesn’t diminish anyone’s worth, adding:
“That doesn’t have anything to do with you. You’re not less attractive. You’re not less of a good person.”
On the work front, Megan is throwing herself into new music. She recently revealed on the ‘IMO with Michelle Obama’ podcast that her upcoming project, tentatively titled ‘ACT III,’ will be one of her favorites because she finally took her time with it.
She also plans to reintroduce her Tina Snow alter ego and promises collaborations that will “gag” fans.
Recalling her mindset while finishing the album, she said:
“I went home and I was like, ‘Nobody bother me. I got to finish my album.'”
For Megan, the return to her roots is also proving to be a return to herself.
