Prediction [Billboard 200]: Jhene Aiko’s ‘Westside Whimsy’ on Pace to Become Her First #1 Album

Published: Tuesday 15th Sep 2026 by Rashad

Jhene Aiko may have dropped her fourth studio album, ‘Westside Whimsy,’ with little notice on Friday (September 11), but that didn’t stop hungry fans from quickly lapping up what the R&B diva was serving up.

Jhene’s ‘Westside Whimsy’

Predicted First-Week Sales (SPS):  72,000 units

Predicted First-Week Sales (Pure): 2,000 units

Predicted Billboard 200 Debut:  #1

Despite the absence of a leading single to precede its arrival to digital shelves, ‘Westside’ – her first studio effort since 2020’s ‘Chilombo‘ – is still projected to top next week’s Billboard 200 on the wings of forecasted opening sales of 72,000.

If the prediction rings true, it will mark the first time Jhene’s ever topped the all-genre tally in her nearly 25-year career.

The closest she previously got to the chart championship was the #3 debut of ‘Chilombo’ (which also delivered her highest first-week sales to date at 152,000 units).

Keep it locked to That Grape Juice for the LP’s final opening  figures when they’re unveiled on Sunday (September 20).

Not an avid fan of hers but I can’t even lie when I say it’s a solid album with very little promo or push behind it. From start to finish. Her record with Kendrick was everything ❤️
